Bill Vuksanovich
About the Artist
Bill Vuksanovich was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1938 and moved to Chicago in 1952 at the age of 13. He attended the American Academy of Art and the School of Professional Art, both in Chicago. In 1992 he received the Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant. He has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Arkansas Arts Center and at the Forum Gallery in New York. Several of his pieces have been sold at auction, most recently, “Girl with Pet” sold at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers from the collection of Howard Tullman. Bill currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.
