Bill Price

About the Artist

Bill Price is a working artist/blacksmith and a full-time assistant professor of Metal Arts and Sculpture at Memphis College of Art. In 2006 he earned a master’s degree in blacksmithing from Southern Illinois University and has a BFA from Memphis College of Art. Bill’s work draws inspiration from natural forms, predominantly birds. Some pieces are purely representational studies taken from direct field observations, while others are interpretations exploring the posture, gesture, action and linear nature of the avian species. Bill lives and works near Memphis, TN.
