“The old wood used in my frames is beautiful, but today it came to me that the wood, old and worn, is such an integral part of my paintings because it frames the space with love.  The wood is salvaged from the building where my creativity was nurtured and made valid.  It makes sense to frame creative expression with this precious wood, which, I think, is beautiful.” “

Words don’t speak as well for me as paintbrush and paint.”

“I never plan pieces.  They present themselves as I dive on the canvas or wire pieces of found objects together.  Almost like messages from the subconscious.  Sometimes very easily, sometimes with much labor, and many layers of paint.  The finished piece always speaks to me,  teaches me, but never admonishes me.  It’s a loving process for me, a spiritual healing perhaps.”
